Finished two more pieces and remember to do a WIP progression for both. I've been in a really romantic chic kick lately. First one up is:
This one is for a contest currently being run by Nicolle's Dreams. The challenge was to draw any one of the dolls from her personal collection. At least, that's how this one started. After having poured quite a few more hours than I'd anticipated into it, I'm on the fence about submitting it. Maybe it's a lack of confidence. There are going to be hundreds of extremely talented entries. But it's probably because I'm not a fan of the voting system. The 9 images with the most Facebook likes will be considered for the prize, and the rest will just get a glance.
If you're looking for reference, this character is "Jess" and is a Fairyland Minifee Chloe sculpt.
Speaking of ball jointed dolls, I'm also a ginormous fan of Lillycat Cerisedolls, particularly Ombre.
To celebrate my second Ombre, who still hasn't arrived yet, I decided to draw a conceptual piece of the characters for both my girls. They are currently unnamed, since I don't make much of a deal about naming my dolls, but I'm sure I'll come up with something to identify them. The one of the left currently has a monotone red style; red hair, red eyes, red makeup. I can't decide if I'm going to keep it or swap it to turquoise yet.
